The Kingfisher Story
Kingfisher is owned and operated by Nate & Rachel Byrd. Nate Byrd has been a certified PADI scuba diver since 2020. He has years of experience with other diving companies, and above water work with marinas in the state. Rachel Byrd received her SSI OW diving certification in 2022. She also has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a chemistry minor from Lindsey Wilson College.
In 2022, Nate branched out and begin his own company named Kingfisher. Kingfishers are a small blue bird that dives into the water for it's prey. These beautiful birds were the inspiration behind the company name. This company began as a diving and salvage company but soon branched out into boat detailing.
Nate and Rachel not only run a business together but also spend time enjoying the outdoors with their three beautiful children. One may catch these active two detailing a boat at a local dock, fixing a dock, recovering lost items underwater, pressure washing a houseboat or other necessary diving or marine needs.
